An extremely high proportion of the work associated with working with Surgery Rota is expended during the initial data input. Once established the routine running of new schedules and the distribution of associated reports takes a very small amount of time.

The task in the initial stages is to enter all the information relating to staff skills, routine availability, team memberships and room preferences etc. Added to this are details of the rooms and the suitability for various tasks and finally all the tasks that the surgery has to fulfil. Finally details of planned staff absence are added together with information about non-availability of rooms.

An "Actual Schedule" for a given period can then be produced and reports generated in a matter of minutes..

By having folder locations already mapped on the surgery's server, reports giving details of the schedule can then be distributed in minutes.
